Hey everyone we have a "new" cd. It's called the Bag Lovers Sessions. It has ten songs we recorded in 2007 when were planning on recording a full length called Good News For Bag Lovers. It sounds much more like we do live than that old cd did. Come to our shows and buy them. For now I'm only going to make twenty of them, I don't know if we'll do something else with the songs after.
Anyway this weekend we are playing two shows with Project:Citizen and Alex and his Imaginary Friends who are from New York.
The first show is Saturday night at 39 Holyoke Street in Northampton. Come at eight. The music should start by nine. Please come early. The Sweaty Buttons and Matt Fox are also playing. Also the eight year old who we recorded some songs with is most likely going to be playing with us that night, unless she gets too scared.
Sunday night (Easter) we are playing in Allston at 56 Ridgemont Street. I don't know who else is playing other than the two bands I mentioned or what time it is at. I would aim for eight. I'll tell you more if I learn more ahead of time.
As always you can listen to our music at lastFM and for some reason we now have a facebook page here.
Holy crap, I added mp3s for two releases on the media page. Light your farts on fire.
I added the bio for Cheech, a new show, and sleeping upside down.
It's been a while, eh? Adam was on sabbatical from mmtt after hyperextended his knee while stalking Keanu Reeves in an abandoned Ugandan minefield. Don't ask why Adam was there. Or Keanu, for that matter. Check the shows page for shows, and the merchandise page for a new comp CD.
Added info via a server, your browser, hypertext markup language, and images for a show in November.
Check the shows page for complete info on the Plan-it-X Fest. Should be cool, if you're into the "live music" phenomenon people keep talking about.
Added more info to the May 6th show.
Added a buttload of new show info. Jump up jump up and get down.
More info for all you rocking cool cats out there for the show on the 23rd.
Added some barebones info for a show next month. Mmm cheese.
I added info for a show later in February. There is art involved, and I hear rumors of food...
Apparently we are playing on Sunday in Amherst. I don't really know that much about it, but there's some info on the shows page. Also, we have been invited to play the Vermont stop of the plan-it-x fest this summer which is probably the best news ever. For those of you who have been holding out on buying our CD, now is the time to buy it, since we've added fiddle to the recording. It's almost wiffleball season, go to our message board and challenge us to a game. Word 'em up.
Added a show date waaaay the heck in June. Prepare ye for it.
Added more info in the shows section. Feel the vibrations. Feel it, feel it.
Hey there, we are trying to come to your town (assuming you live in one of the towns we are trying to come to). The list is in the shows section. We still need help finding places to play, sleep, and eat in most places, so email us if you can help at all (adamhotcakes@aol.com). We'll update the info as we know more. Also, please post on our message board.
So the only real news is that we now have a mandolin player. Although, he doesn't know how to play the mandolin. He has succesfully learned "Skip to My Lou" though. Regardless, he played with us on Halloween. Also, we have some stuff that should be coming out soon, and then we'll try and play some more shows or whatever. Oh, and the truth is a virus may have a drummer now so you will have to beware our magnificent posi-violence.
Yet another show date has been added. Smoke 'em if ya got 'em.
Another show date has been added. The apocalypse is nigh.
Four new photos have been added to the media section, none of which are of vampires.
We all know you like the new upcoming MMTT show like crack on a hot day. Check it.
MMTT's tour vehicle flipped over, destroying Collan's guitar. It was tight. The first person to read this should send us at least one new acoustic guitars. To the best of my knowledge, we will soon be recording what will one day be our half of a split cd (or seven inch?) with the Tiger. Those of you who don't know the Tiger should. We covered two of his songs on It's All Bout Tha Dolla, which i'm sure you all have. He is the best songwriter of our generation. Also, the previously mentioned split cd of our side project bands is recorded and will be released shortly. You will know more soon. However, you can preview the bands here (myspace.com/thetruthisavirus) and here (myspace.com/guardiansofthegateway). Have a good day. Up the punx.
I uploaded 8 photos of MMTT playing with Alice. In a park. With grass. And a tree. I think the tree is not fake.
There are 2 photos on the media page of someone who got a MMTT tattoo. The photos were taken directly after the band's last stop on their stadium tour with Guns 'N' Roses, Danger Danger, and Enuff Z'Nuff. MC Hammer was involved in some way.
Adam and Victor have started an all electric noise (with a hint of old school powerviolence, and a touch of posi-core) band by the name of The Truth Is A Virus and will soon release a split cd with Collan's electro-grind-core band, Severed Spine. In other news, please order our album and use our message board.
Hey everyone. Our tour of sorts went very very well. Bloomington is a very nice place and you should all visit. One night when we were busking on the street corner there and some chick drove by and flashed us. I wasn't looking though. I'm taking collan's word for it. Also we fellow named Mohawk Mike played harmonica with us and a girl named Magnolia from Canada played the fiddle. It was tight. We also got to play Sugar Hill with a dude from the Can Kickers. Oh, and we played at the Cheese Barn in Ohio.
Anyway, I know the streets of Amherst (most notably N. Pleasant) have missed us dearly, and I promise will get back to playing y'all soon. The full length CD is selling greatly, so thank you. If you haven't done so yet, please send for one. There's new mp3's up on the media page for your sampling pleasure. Also, for you trendy indy kids, we have a page up on myspace.com, please add us as your friend. That would be tight. Post on the message board. Peace.
Please send us four dolla for our brand new sixteen track album It's All 'Bout Tha Dolla, on the ever popular CDR format. See the merch page for more info. There will be a couple songs up on the media page too. In fact, you should re-explore ever aspect of this website, especially the message board. That's all for now, I think.
The album is finally complete. We are working on some artwork and whatnot and the disc should drop in time for the plan-it-x party. We will have mp3's up relatively soon. You will love it. We do. It has 16 tracks. Victor wrote a song about beating up a drunk. It's a tender love ballad. As previously reported, it is entitled It's All 'Bout Tha Dolla, and will rock your world. Please go directly to the message board and make yourself known.
Mail Myself To Thoreau is hard at work on our first full length tentitively titled All Bout Tha Dolla. It's almost complete. Odds are it will have twelve rockin' tracks for your listening pleasure. It will contain songs you know and love and others you will one day know and love. We'll keep you posted on its progress as it gets closer to being released, until then keep circling those a's and e's.
Okay, so there's a show up on the shows page. Be there. Also, download our desktop wallpaper things on the media page and use them. A lot. More importantly, we are all now proud members of a bike gang called the Junkyard Bandits. We are taking applications, email any of us for information. By bike, we mean bicycle of course. For the love of Pete, will you please all go post on the message board?! Also, Victor has turned into a violence monger and should be emailed en mass detailing the errors of his ways, or else he will never change.
Check out the media page for fresh new interesting photos of Victor (the real one).
I added some wallpapers to the media page, and some more contact info for all the ladies.
I added some new photos, plus a bio entry for ensign Victor. Enjoy.
MMTT will be on the University of Massachusetts radio station soon. Station, date and time will be brought to your attention soon. Our new demo with the fiddle and, god willing, the washboard, will also be recorded at UMass and will be available soonish. Also in the works is our "RebeKKKa rot in hell" EP. More info very soon. Don't rush to see Hellboy. Do see Eternal Sunshine. Thanks.
Cinemark in Hadley, MA is set to build four more screens. This will bring in five to ten more employes who will no doubt be payed handsomely. MMTT planning to record in a real life studio instead of Collan's basement. Alice doesn't laugh out loud.
Added some links to the, um, links page, I think it is. Yeah. What?
Added a forum / discussion board. Sign up and start yappin'.
MMTT is on hiatus. Collan is midway through his sold out solo stadium tour of Florida. Adam is the proud new parent of a five year old male ferret. And Alice is still Russian.
Added some more merch to the merch page. Jump the Elvis candy bar.
I uploaded some tracks in the media section. I'm getting all tense through my chestal area!
Welcome to the MMTT site. "Hey, wha' hauppened?"
